This site will not charge you any reservation fees for making this booking, nor charge your credit card. You will simply pay for your stay at Grand Hotel.
Cancellation is free of charge provided you adhere to the notification period stated in Grand Hotel cancellation policy (see "Cancellation Policy" below).

• Making your reservation is easy and safe:
  • Select your desired dates.
  • Select your desired room types (you can view the rooms descriptions and facilities by clicking on the room type).
  • Select your desired number of rooms. Then press the book now button.

Subsequently the reservation form appears and you have to confirm your booking. Immediately thereafter you will receive a printable, screen confirmation of your booking. Then, following your screen confirmation, you will receive an instant detailed email confirmation with all of the hotel's contact information and the pricing details.

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

Hotel information

Centuries of history and tradition have bequeathed to Florence a deeply felt, humanistic attitude to hospitality; a culture which has matured through the centuries, with traditions handed down the generations. Innumerable famous people have stayed at the Grand Hotel during the 19th and 20th centuries. They include the Indian maharajah Rairan Cottraputti (cremated in 1871 with the Brahmin rite in Le Cascine) or the young American Leland Stanford Jr. who died in 1884 and in whose memory his parents founded the University in California that still today bears his name.

The 107 luxurious guest rooms and suites adorned with coffered ceilings and spacious baths of coloured marble create a fairy tale atmosphere where wrought iron blends with the warmth of wood, and frescoes and brocades delight the eye. Travel information

From Bologna: - Take the A1 motorway and exit at Firenze Nord. - Follow signs for the city centre until you reach the Arno River. - At the river, follow signs for Ponte Vecchio and then Longarno Vespucci until you come to Piazza Ognissanti. From Fiesole: - Follow signs for the city centre and at Piazza Della Liberta follow Viale Lavagnini around the Fortezza da Basso until you reach Viale Rosselli. - At the Arno River, turn left for Piazza Ognissanti. From Pisa/Livorno: - Take the A11 and follow signs for the city centre until you arrive at the Arno River. At the river, follow signs for Ponte Vecchio and then take Lungarno Vespucci until you reach Piazza Ognissanti. From Rome: - Take the A1 and exit at Firenze Certosa. - Follow signs for Florence and the city centre/Via Porta Romana to Petrarca. - Continue to Ponte Della Vittoria and after you cross the Arno River, turn right onto Piazza Ognissanti. By plane: The hotel is 8 kilometres from Firenze-Pertola Airport. Transfer from/to the hotel is available upon request. By train: the hotel is 5 minutes walk from S.Maria Novella railway station.

Cancellation policy

At least 48 hours before day of arrival. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.

• Pets

Pets are allowed on request. No extra charges.

• Children and Extra bed

All children are welcome. All children under 12 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged EUR 104.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.

• Cancellation Policy

If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.

• Internet

Wired internet is available in the hotel rooms and costs EUR 9.00 per hour. Wireless internet is available in public areas and costs EUR 3.00 per hour. Internet via TV is available in the hotel rooms and costs EUR 13.00 per hour.

• Extra

VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable.

• Deposit

No deposit will be charged.

• Restaurant - Breakfast

Buffet breakfast is not included and costs EUR 39.00 per person.

• Parking

Private parking is possible at a location nearby and costs EUR 42.00 per day.
