Hotel La Fortezza One of the closest hotels to the Fortezza da Basso conference centre, this 19th century villa with a calm garden is also just 700 metres from the train station. Set in a residential area, the hotel has elegant classically designed public areas and contemporary-style bedrooms. The buffet breakfast is served in a beautiful hall and there is also an attractive reading room where you can unwind. With the ring road around central Florence very close by and payable on-site parking available, access by car is easy. In addition, just 50 metres from the hotel you can catch a bus to Piazza Duomo, in the heart of the city. However, if you fancy a walk, you can also wander along the fascinating streets of the city and reach the cathedral in about 20 minutes.
